Children take a picture of a cardboard devil during Holy Week celebrations in Mexico City on March 26, 2016. For many years Mexicans have made cardboard figures representing all forms of evil, which are then torched commemorating the “Burning of Judas”, a tradition in which Mexicans torch effigies of the devil, politicians and others they dislike on the eve of Easter Sunday. An effigy of US presidential contender Donald Trump – a hated figure for many in Mexico – was set ablaze late on March 26 in a contemporary twist on a Holy Week ritual. People make a child jump in the aire thanks to a blanket at the makeshift camp of the Greek-Macedonian border, near the Greek village of Idomeni on March 27, 2016, where thousands of refugees and migrants are stranded by the Balkan border blockade. Dozens of hopeful refugees, some carrying babies, rushed to Greece's overwhelmed Idomeni camp on the sealed border with Macedonia on March 27, 2016 following rumours that the frontier would be forced open. The influx came as Greek authorities were trying to evacuate an estimated 11,500 people already stranded at the squalid camp after Balkan states slammed shut their borders, cutting off the migrant route to the European Union. Workers erect spill booms to collect oil on the shore spilled from a Taiwanese container ship owned by the shipping company T.S. Lines off the shore of Shimen, New Taipei City, Taiwan, 26 March 2016. The 15,487-ton ship ran aground in a storm about 300 meters from the shore while it was sailing from Hong Kong to Keelung Port in Taiwan on 10 March. The ship carries about 407 tons of fuel and FW40 tons of kerosene, about half of which has been pumped out. In the past days, pumping has been hampered by stormy weather, and oil has begun to leak and some containers have tumbled into the sea. Pumping oil was stopped on 25 March when the ship broke into two parts and rescue boats could not reach it. As the site it near a fishing port and a nuclear power plant, environmentalists warned that if the spill is not contained in time, its damage on the ecosystem could last for two to three years. Supporters of Yemen's former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, who are allies of Shiite rebels known as Houthis, climb flag poles during a rally to mark the first anniversary of the Saudi-led military campaign against them, in Sanaa, Yemen, Saturday, March 26, 2016. On Friday, in his first speech in months, the leader of the Houthi rebels called for street rallies to mark the occasion. Yet his tone was comparatively subdued, suggesting that the Houthis are under pressure following yearlong airstrikes and a ground operation that have killed thousands of civilians.
